I had a great opportunity this summer to photograph some beautiful whitetail bucks within the city limits of Leawood, KS. On this particular evening in early August I lingered longer than normal at my stand - which consisted of me standing neck deep in the tall grass along Indian Creek with tripod, camera and lens. My patience was rewarded with this final glimpse in near total darkness. Without the current digital technology I could never have achieved the high ISO (a measurement of the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to light) and slow shutter speed necessary to capture this image. It is exciting to realize that these majestic creatures live among us in the metro.
